Today we have a report from the Franciacorta track, where Janek raced in the Winter Series Champions of the Future on Saturday and Sunday. After finishing fifth in the Qualifying Practice, Jan joined group A for Saturday Heats.

Driver of Tony Kart gave 100% on Saturday, starting the day with second place in the race of groups A and D. In the next start of the day (Heat A-B), Janek repeated this result, laying solid foundations for a good starting position on Sunday. Jan’s last race in qualifying, Heat A-C, was a bit more problematic. The driver from Rossoszyca at one point was eighth, losing a few places on the opening laps, but later he managed to regain four positions and finish the race at P4.

Janek earned himself the third position among Juniors after Heats. After the start of Sunday’s Super Heat, Jan remained in the top three, but the race was interrupted by a red flag. After the restart, Janek was again in the group fighting for the victory, but in the last laps he lost a few places and reached the finish line in seventh position. After adding up the qualifying results and Super Heats, Jan was fourth in OK Junior.

Then it was time for the Sunday final, to which Tony Kart driver started from the fourth position! Unfortunately, the outside line was not the best place to start again this weekend and Jan quickly lost some positions that he had to regain later. The driver from Rossoszyca did his best to advance as high as possible in the final. His chase ended in fifth place.
